EMERGENCY CARDIOVASCULAR CARE CLASSES

For Physicians and Health Care Professionals

The Osteopathic Founders Foundation is an authorized provider of American Heart Association (AHA) programs, affiliated with the Education Center at Hillcrest. Our facility includes 960 square feet of training area, with two breakout rooms available. Participants train at intensive skills stations during sessions, utilizing the latest AHA guidelines, training materials, interactive DVDs, and equipment.

ECC training programs including BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP are presented in a convenient south Tulsa location. The foundation office and training site are located at 8801 South Yale Avenue, Suite 400 (Geophysical Resource Center).

 

BLS HCP  (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professionals)

  • Full Provider 4 hour format
  • Renewal 3 hour format or Lesson Video Reviews
  • Course requirements:  Skill Testing, written test >84%, and station participation.

 

ACLS  (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Current BLS HCP required

  • Full provider 2 day class
  • Renewal 7 hour class
  • Renewal 4 hour Advanced Practice Renewal Class (following Renewal Agenda released AHA Training Bulleting Dec. 2008)
  • Course requirements:  Skill Testing, written test >84%, and station participation.

 

PALS  (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Current BLS HCP required

  • Full Provider 2 day class
  • Renewal 7 hour class
  • Renewal Advanced Practice Renewal Class
  • Course requirements:  Skill Testing, written test > 84%, and station participation.


NRP - The Neonatal Resuscitation Program is based on the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and American Heart Association (AHA) Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and cardiovascular care of the neonate.  The class is designed to introduce currently active healthcare providers to the concepts and basic skills of neonatal resuscitation.  Successful completion of the course requires a passing score on written evaluation as well as successful completion of the performance checklist and the megacode.
